Aircon Installation

Aircon Installation on the Northern Beaches and North Shore. Licensed, insured, and on the peninsula every day.

Aircon Installation

We're dual-licensed, electrical and refrigeration / air conditioning, which means one team designs, installs, wires and commissions your system. No coordinating between a sparky and a separate aircon contractor, no finger-pointing if something doesn't work on day one. Delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality solutions for both homes and businesses.

Most of our work is split system and multi-split installs in Northern Beaches homes, single-room heads in bedrooms, larger units in living rooms, and the increasing number of full-house multi-head setups going in during renovations. Brand choice matters less than sizing and install quality: an undersized unit runs flat out and never gets there; an oversized one short-cycles and never dehumidifies properly. We size to the room volume, the orientation, the window glazing and how the room is actually used.

What the install involves: site visit to walk the rooms and pick head and condenser locations that work for airflow and don't ruin the look of the house, electrical capacity check at the switchboard, neat refrigeration pipework with proper insulation and condensate drainage, cable management on the outdoor unit, and full commissioning with vacuum, pressure test and gas charge to the manufacturer's spec. On weatherboard homes and the 1980s solid brick stock common around Bilgola and Newport we plan the pipe route carefully, you only want to penetrate that wall once.

We coordinate with builders and architects on renovation jobs so the heads sit where the joinery and ceiling design actually allow, and we handle the warranty paperwork with the supplier on the day. Service and maintenance after the install is part of the relationship, we come back to check filters, drain lines and gas pressure when you need us to.

When to call us

  • Single-room split system for a bedroom or home office
  • Main living area unit sized for an open-plan kitchen/dining
  • Multi-head system across multiple bedrooms running off one outdoor unit
  • Commercial fit-out for an office, clinic or shop
  • Replacing an aging unit that's lost cooling capacity or leaking

Our process

  1. Site visit: We walk each room, check ceiling space, wall types and the proposed outdoor location, and talk through how the rooms are actually used.
  2. Sizing and quote: We size the unit(s) to the room, recommend a brand and model that fits the budget, and quote in writing with brackets, pipe runs and electrical scope included.
  3. Electrical check: Where the install adds significant load, we confirm switchboard capacity and add a dedicated circuit if needed.
  4. Installation day: Heads and condenser mounted on solid brackets, neat insulated pipework, condensate drainage that actually drains, electrical termination at a dedicated isolator.
  5. Commissioning: Vacuum and pressure test, gas charge to spec, full operational run on heating and cooling, controller paired and labelled.
  6. Handover and aftercare: We show you how to use the controller, set up filter cleaning reminders, and book in service intervals if you'd like.

Why choose Electrix all Blew

We're a family-run electrical business based in Bilgola Plateau. Over 38+ years on the Northern Beaches means we know the housing stock - weatherboard home, 1980s solid bricks, strata buildings - and what tends to fail in each.

We're licensed for electrical and air conditioning. We carry full public liability and contractor insurance. We turn up when we say we will, we call ahead when we're 20 minutes out, and we hold to 1-hour appointment windows.

Our 113 Google reviews sit at a 5.0 average. That's the result of doing the work properly the first time, not chasing reviews.

Frequently asked

Split system or ducted, which is right for my home?

Split or multi-split makes sense if you mostly use a few rooms at a time and want zone-by-zone control. Ducted suits whole-house cooling and heating, larger renovation budgets, and homes where ceiling space and bulkheads allow it. We'll talk you through both based on how you actually live in the house.

What brand do you recommend?

Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu and Panasonic all do good work at different price points. We're not tied to any one brand, we recommend based on the room, your budget and the warranty package that suits.

How long does a split system install take?

A single-room split is usually a one-day job. Multi-head systems take one to two days. Ducted installs are typically two to four days depending on the duct run and the house.

Do I need a separate circuit at the switchboard?

Smaller splits (up to about 5kW cooling) often share an existing circuit. Larger systems and multi-heads need a dedicated circuit, and we check switchboard capacity before quoting.

Do you service and maintain aircon after install?

Yes. We come back for filter cleans, drain-line checks and gas pressure tests. Twice-a-year servicing keeps the unit efficient and protects the warranty on most brands.
